POOTHAMKUTTY: A garish reception was accorded to the Poothamkutty Region Kothamangalam Foot Pilgrimage at St. Mary's Jacobite Syrian Church, Poothamkutty, Angamaly on 1st October 2013. The pilgrimage started from the Kodaly St.Mary's Church of the Trichur diocese which was formerly inaugurated by H.G.Dr.Athanasius Elias Metropolitan on 1st October at 9.30am. At 6.30pm the pilgrimage reached the St.George Chapel Vellappara and under the charismatic leadership of the Vicar Rev.Fr. Eldho Chakkiattil, members of the Poothamkutty area accorded a warm welcome in which members from different walks of life irrespective of caste and Creed attended. After the Evening prayers, a love feat has been arranged for the Participants of the programme in which hundreds attended. Holy Qurbana was offered at 5am on 2nd October by the Vicar Rev.Fr. Eldho Chakkiattil and after the refreshments the pilgrimage moved to the next destination.
