POOTHAMKUTTY: The Vachanippu perunal and 9th Foundation Day Celebrations of the St. Mary's Jacobite Syrian Church, Poothamkutty, one among the illustrious Marian Pilgrim centers of the Holy Church, will be held from 22nd to 25th March 2012. To mark the beginning of the celebrations, perunal flag will be hoisted on Sunday, the 18th March soon after the holy Qurbana by the Vicar Rev. Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal followed by a meeting for the Sunday School children, Parents and Teachers at the church premises. As part of the perunnal preparations, three- day Family Renewing Retreat will be held under the auspices of St.Pauls Mission of India, on 22nd, 23rd & 24th March. On 24th evening, a majestic reception will be accorded to the newly consecrated metropolitans their Graces Alias Mor Julius and Dr. Mathews Mor Antheemos. A public meeting has been arranged to felicitate the newly ordained bishops soon after the evening prayer. H.G. Alias Mor Julius will lead the Holy Qurbana on Sunday, 25th March, the day of Vachanippu perunal. Nercha will be distributed to all present.
