VELLAPPARA/POOTHAMKUTTY: The Feast of St.George with a series of colourful programmes held at St.George's Jacobite Syrian Christian Chapel, Vellappara, Poothamkutty. Rev. Fr. Varghese Arackal hoisted the perunal flag on Saturday, the 10th May 2014 followed by the evening prayer and anniversary programmes of various prayer units. On Sunday, the 11th May, perunal Qurbana was offered by the Rev. Fr. Varghese Arackal followed by grand procession from the Poothamkutty St.Mary's Church to the Vellappara Chapel in which hundreds attended with traditional perunal spirit and instruments. Nercha was distributed to all present at the chapel soon after the dedication prayer and benediction.
