Charity year 2012 Inagurated at St. Mary's JSO Church Poothamkutty

POOTHAMKUTTY: The CHARITY YEAR-2012 of the St.Mary's Jacobite Syrian Christian Youth Association, Poothamkutty was formally inaugurated by the Regional Youth Director Rev. Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal on Sunday, the 18th of December 2011. The inaugural function was held at Eldho Mor Baselios Orphanage, Kothamangalam. Rev. Fr. Siju Varghese, the Public Relations Officer of the Orphanage welcomed the team. Rev.Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal inaugurated the function cutting the Christmas Cake. In his inaugural address, Rev. Fr. Alias Ipe recalled the first Christmas Child who had the misfortune to overcome the challenges of the world even he was in the womb of his Mother. The hardships followed him up to his tomb. "Christ the babe comes in Christmas as Christ the Saviour comes on the Cross-seeking only our embrace. The mystery so large becomes the babe so small and infinite God becomes infant"-Fr. Ipe added. Christmas reminds us the struggles and challenges of the world which we may have to brazen out, focusing our eyes and ways on the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The members of the youth Association presented various cultural events along with the inmates of the Orphanage which is run by H. G. Dr. Abraham Mor Severios. Mr. Delvin Paul, the secretary of the St.Mary's Youth Association, Mr.P.P.Eldho, the co-ordinator, Mr.T.M.Yakob, the Parish Secretary, Mr. Paulose, the Treasurer led the Programme.
