POOTHAMKUTTY: Under the aegis of Poothamkutty St. Mary's Church Eco-Club and Youth Wing, World Environment Day was observed with a series of colorful and eco-friendly programm. Rev.Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal, the Vicar inaugurated the program planting a high-grade mango tree at the church premises. "The observation of the Day must bring proper awareness and cavernous interest among the people on the subject of environment and pertinent utilization of the Natural Resources and thereby the horizon of the same should be widened..." Fr. Alias Ipe urged the addressees. Together with the St. Mary's Youth Association members, the Eco-club team headed by Mr. Vibin Varghese, started the parish embellishment programme planting more vegetation inside the church compound as well as at the necropolis area. Mr. Delvin Paul, P.P.Eldhose, P.T. Poulose, M.M. Tensing, Poly Ittoop and T.M. Yakob led the arrangements.
