POOTHAMKUTTY: The parishioners of the St. Mary's JSC church, Poothamkutty protested against the Government move to close down Jacobite Churches where Indian Orthodox fraction (Metran Kashi) creates unnecessary chaos. The meeting was presided over by the Vicar Rev. Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal. Mr. P.P. Eldhos read out the resolution which strongly demands the immediate Government intervention in the church case issue where Jacobites are being illegitimately sidelined. The meeting also reiterated unflinching loyalty and allegiance to the Patriarch, the supreme Head of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church, H.B. Dr. Aboon Mor Baselios Thomas I, the Catholicos and Regional Head and all prelates of the Church. The meeting extended all support for the Secretariat March and dharna which is to be held on Monday, the 18th March, under the aegis of the Jacobite Syrian Church.
