Parish day celebrations held at St. Mary's Jacobite Syrian Christian Church, Poothamkutty

POOTHAMKUTTY: The Parish-day celebrations of St. Mary's Jacobite Syrian Christian Church, Poothamkutty was held on Sunday, the 5th May, 2013 with a galaxy of colourful programmes. The Programme started with Holy Qurbana by the Vicar Rev. Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal followed by the inaugural function. Mrs. Eliyamma Varkey, the senior most member of the Parish along with the Vicar jointly inaugurated the Parish-day celebrations lighting the lamb this year. Competitions such as Church Quiz, solo song, family Song, group song, memory test, slow bike race, sack race and candle race were held for members age-group wise. A sumptuous love-feast was served for all present. In the evening, cultural programmes were held in which members of all spiritual organizations took part. Prizes for the winners were given away by the Vicar Rev. Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal to mark the end of the programme.
