VELLAPPARA/POOTHAMKUTTY: The Feast of St.George with a series of colourful programmes held at St.George's Jacobite Syrian Christian Chapel, Vellappara, Poothamkutty. Vicar Rev.Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal hoisted the perunal flag on Saturday, the 11th May 2013 followed by the evening prayer and anniversary programmes of various prayer units. Rev.Fr. Eldhose Varghese gave away the perunal message at the Chapel. On Sunday, the 12th May, perunal Qurbana was offered by the vicar Rev.Fr. Alias Ipe Parackal followed by grand procession from the Poothamkutty St.Mary's Church to the Vellappara Chapel in which hundreds attended with traditional perunal spirit and instruments. Nercha was distributed to all present at the chapel soon after the dedication prayer and benediction.
